Keeping Seasonal Depression at Bay: My Tips That Will Keep You in a High Frequency all-Season Around

Updated: Sep 18, 2019

Summer is coming to an end, this means the end to the “hot girl” summer and beach weather here in the West - unfortunately this also means that there will be no more daily sunshine and night times will be longer than days. I’m somewhat of a Heiliophylic. I love the sunlight. I always loved waking up around 6 am to see the onset of the sun rising - the ways the rays of the star nourished every living being, the greenery of the plants coming to their full potential, the beauty and color all around us during the Spring and Summer seasons.

Sunlight raises our frequency, our vibrancy, and provides us all with infinite warmth. I wish the sun could be out all year around, but we have to appreciate the beauty in every season. The fall and winter equinox are upon us, that means temperatures are going to start dropping, and the outer aesthetics and vibrational energy of the trees and plants will fade. Everything seems so cold and dead, and If you live in the Southern States, you don’t even get to experience the pretty Northern lights or snowy grounds like everyone else.

Here is a bullet point list of the things I practice to keep myself from getting under the weather:

Vitamin D Supplementation:

This is something I believe we should be doing, all year around, even if you’re out in the sun all day during the summer and spring seasons. For some reason, human beings have trouble absorbing vitamin D from Sunlight, especially those of darker complexions. Melanin is a protective barrier against harmful UVA and UVB radiation, and since UVB is converted into prevtiamin D3, melanin inhibits the complete absorption and conversion of UVB into D3. Of course, it is a good thing that we have melanin, because the risks associated with prolonged exposure to UVA and UVB rays far outweigh the positives.Since it isn’t likely that you are not even going to get an ounce of sun exposure during the 6 month period, I highly recommend supplementing for D3

A lot of our environmental factors have changed as well, so we are not eating the same amount of nutrients in our plant based foods as we once have, so supplementation is optimal. Also try adding more mushrooms to your hot meals as well for a boost of vitamin D.

Listen to 528 Hz Music

In contrast to the party scene nature that people have in the Spring and Summer seasons, Fall and Winter is the ideal season for dating, and romance. Let’s face it, some of you may be facing another “grueling” six months with no boyfriend or recently just got out of a relationship. If you love love, and love being in love, seeing everyone under the mistletoe and getting a teddy bear in 2 times their body weight is going to feel like a kick in your stomach. 528 Hz music always helps lift my mood, and take me out of my illusion of loneliness. Some call it the Miracle tone. It is a frequency present in all living beings, including DNA and plant chlorophyll.

Listening to the tone personally reminds me of my sacred connection to the plants, animals and consciousness of this world. Even when the physical world has lost all it’s warmth, I am reminded of the liveliness of the Universe is still inside of me.

Matcha Tea and Hot Cacao Drinks

I always recommend Matcha over hot coffee as a morning drink. Matcha has about the same caffeine content as Coffee, but it has more antioxidants. I feel like coffee just gives more of a “buzz” feel, but matcha has more of an “awakening”affect, bringing my senses and mind more into clarity.
